Black Rebel Motorcycle Club are feeling generous this holiday season, with the release of a free slow burning track entitled The Absent. The song was recorded during their 2010 Beat The Devil's Tattoo sessions, and was showcased live on a few occasions, but was never released as a studio track. The band presented the track December 24th to fans with the accompanied message;
"Thank you for everyone for coming out to the shows and everything else this year. We are going to give you all a song called The Absent. Sorry it's not a super happy song, we don't mean to be downers. Happy Whatever Day you like to call it. Peace, Love and all that stuff from us. We'll see you in 2012."
