Evil Men Have No Songs EP

Although we are half way across the world, we are quickly falling in love with the indie scene in Budapest. We have already talked about lo-fi noise poppers Zombie Girlfriend and how much we dig their sound. Well recently were turned on to Evil Men Have No Songs, named after a Nietzsche quote, a self described shoegaze-dream pop band with 1960's pop melodies. Take a listen to their 2010 self titled EP, also available as a free download on their Bandcamp page. We can't wait to hear more.

Bon Iver Announces New Album

Justin Vernon released his first album For Emma, Forever Ago under the name Bon Iver in 2007. He was picked up shortly thereafter by Jagjaguar and quickly became an indie superstar. He released the EP, Blood Bank in 2009, but has seemingly neglected the project since then. He has released work with the likes of Kanye and Gangs, and released a side project in the interim, but made no mention of the stealth like recording of his sophomore Bon Iver release. Come to find out he and his brother have recorded and mastered an album in an old veterinarian clinic in Wisconsin over the last three years, with a little help from his friends. The new album is scheduled to drop on June 21. Check out the cover art above and the track list plus a brief video preview of the album below.
