On the morning of New Years Day the Austin Texas music community lost an integral and important member. Esme Barrera was murdered in the early morning hours and the suspect remains at large. In addition to being a key part of the Austin music scene, she was a Mentor/Counselor at Girl's Rock Camp, and an assistant teacher at a local elementary school.
